BMW M Award 2013: A BMW M6 Coupe for the best MotoGP™ qualifier

Jerez de la Frontera, 4th May 2013. The 2013 MotoGP season is a special one for the BMW M GmbH which is celebrating a double anniversary. It is the 15th year as “Official Car of MotoGP” and at the end of the season, the BMW M Award for the best MotoGP qualifier will be handed over for the tenth time. Since the end of 2003, the rider with the best qualifying results has been awarded an exclusive and individually customised BMW M automobile. On the occasion of the 2013 anniversaries, the prize for the BMW M Award is a special highlight: a BMW M6 Coupe. The car was revealed today at the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez.

COSTA MESA, Calif., April 29, 2013 – The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport outperformed its competitors to earn the distinction of “Best in Class SUV/Crossover under $28,000” in the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) annual Winter Vehicle Awards, which honor the best cars, trucks, crossovers and SUVs for handling New England’s difficult winter driving conditions.

BMW and MINI: Two brands – Seven Awards

Munich. BMW and MINI recorded seven first places in the “The best brands in all classes” poll of just under 100,000 readers carried out by German motoring magazine Auto Bild. Three of these came courtesy of BMW in the “Good looks/style” category for mid-range, executive and luxury-class cars, while MINI came top of the “Best design” rankings for small cars. BMW also led the way in the “Sporty engines”, “Advanced technology” and “Well-connected cars” categories.

Scion FR-S Named Best Sports Car for the Money by U.S. News & World Report

TORRANCE, Calif., (Feb. 21, 2013) – The 2013 FR-S beat out its competition to earn the Best Sports Car for the Money from respected publication U.S. News & World Report. The annual award recognizes value, quality and critical acclaim across 21 vehicle categories.

To evaluate the FR-S, U.S. News & World Report judges looked at the sports coupe’s safety record, reliability and opinion from industry experts. Additionally, the expected five-year total cost of ownership and average vehicle price at the time of publication contributed to overall scores. The FR-S costs $25,255 MSRP with a six-speed manual transmission or $26,355 MSRP with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and Dynamic Rev Management technology.
