Audi completed its preparations for the most important endurance race of the year with a test in France that was largely held in rain. Two weeks before the Le Mans 24 Hours, Audi Sport Team Joest set up the long-tail version of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro for the high-speed track onon the eight-hour test day.

June 3, 2013 – Hyundai Motor Company has today delivered the first of its assembly line-produced ix35 Fuel Cell vehicles to the City of Copenhagen in Denmark. They were handed over by Hyundai Motor Europe, Hyundai Motor’s European sales subsidiary, during the opening ceremony of Denmark’s first hydrogen refuelling station.
The 15 ix35 Fuel Cell units are the first hydrogen-powered vehicles manufactured on a production line to be introduced in Europe.

Munich. The spontaneous power delivery and precise handling of the MINI all-wheel drive system ALL4 is now available in two more models: ALL4 will be available for the MINI Cooper Countryman and the MINI Cooper Paceman from July 2013. This increases the number of all-wheel versions within the MINI model range to ten models. The new models are also fitted with 6-speed manual transmission as standard, with 6-speed automatic transmission available as an option.

The 90th anniversary of the ‘Quadrifoglio Verde’ (green four-leaf clover), the legendary symbol that has identified some of Alfa Romeo’s sportiest models, is being celebrated this year. That refers not only to the cars which have taken to the world’s race circuits, but also to certain special production versions.
The origin of this symbol has been lost in legend, but it is interesting to note its correspondence with the flag that distinguished the aeroplanes of the “10th Caproni Bomber Squadron” in the Great War. Today the Quadrifoglio is part of the Italian Air Force’s coat of arms and at the same time remains the symbol of Alfa Romeo’s philosophy, based on the constant pursuit of excellence applied to competitions and then completely transferred to its production vehicles.
